Kaltura Mediaspace - Reports of upload delays for lecture capture recordings (2/3/21) [Resolved]

There are reports of longer-than-normal conversion times for a some recordings being uploaded to Kaltura Mediaspace (more than 24 hours). This issue has been resolved.
[Update - 2/8/21] We are no longer observing delays with video processing in Kaltura Mediaspace.

Learn@UW-Madison is receiving reports of longer-than-normal video conversion times to Kaltura Mediaspace for some lecture recordings. These delays are not occurring with every recording. Delayed recordings can take more than one day to process but eventually do complete.
Instructors are strongly encouraged to continue using assigned classrooms for lecture recordings because the issue is only occurring sporadically. Instructors should contact the DoIT Help Desk if they need assistance obtaining a copy of the recording via alternative methods. These cases will be escalated to Learn@UW-Madison. Learn@UW-Madison can also re-start these upload, which can result in successfully uploading the video to Kaltura Mediaspace.
Kaltura is investigating the cause of the conversion delays.
