UW-Madison noticed Invalid Term Name Messages in Sidebar Instructions.
So far, we have noticed them in the following areas:
- Edit Course Info
- Add Forums and Topics under Discussions
- New Quiz
- Dropbox
From what we can tell, this problem is affecting only the UW-Madison org on all of the app servers for the admin and instructor roles. It does not seem to be affecting student roles. Regardless, all roles should be able to perform all functions.
Based on information from the vendor, the problem is due to the fact that the new D2L Cache Service Manager does not deal well with customized sidebar instructions, of which UW-Madison has many. We are continuing to work with the vendor for a solution.
