On Sunday, August 6, DoIT will upgrade the code on its EMC Enterprise Storage servers. This will require an outage for most of the large systems that are hosted on the DoIT platform.

Systems will start coming down at 5:00 a.m. on August 6 and will remain down until the upgrade is complete. We expect that the upgrade will be complete and all systems back in full operation by 11:30 a.m. Services affected by this outage are:

AANTs tool suite
Bucky Backup - TSM
ISIS
SFS
FASTAR
KRONOS
WiscMail
WiscCal
My WebSpace
My UW-Madison
InfoAccess
Sun kiosks
Cypress
WiscVPN

A few services will remain in operation during the outage, including Learn@UW and the LDAP directory services.
