UDOIT Advantage Released!

UDOIT Advantage is now available in the Learn@UW teaching and learning suite.
UDOIT was upgraded from UDOIT Essentials to UDOIT Advantage on August 18. This version comes with new features like Scanning Course Documents for Errors.
Due to the more accurate scanning with Advantage and files, you may see course scores decrease. Not to worry as UDOIT can help those scores go back up by guiding you through the remediation process.
What is UDOIT?
The Universal Design Online Content Inspection Tool, or UDOIT (pronounced, “You Do It”), is a course accessibility checker integrated in Canvas. Instructors and course designers can use it to scan an entire Canvas course to identify accessibility barriers. After the scan, an instructor can correct some barriers directly through the tool. For barriers that cannot be corrected within the tool, UDOIT provides guidance to remove the barrier.
Upcoming Trainings!
Learn@UW will host two introductory training sessions this month. Presented content will be the same in each session.
When: Friday, Aug. 22, 10:00am-11:00am; Tuesday, Sept. 2, 1:00pm-2:00pm
Where: Zoom
Topic: UDOIT, the full course accessibility scanner is available in all Canvas courses. In this working session, you will learn how to scan your course(s) and see a list of accessibility barriers that exists on them. You will then learn how to correct those that are identified as easiest to fix and you will be given the time to make those corrections. Feel free to ask questions and get your course ready to roll forward for the fall and beyond!
