Resnet Support

Resnet is NOT selling ethernet cards this year at all. They sold them during SOAR, but that is it. Any students inquiring about ethernet cards should get them at the TechStore or Digital Outpost or wherever
We ALL will be dealing with numerous Resnet calls in the near future. Next week is big - starting THIS SUNDAY (08/26). The big days this week are:
Sunday - Numerous staff start moving in after noon. Wednesday & Thursday - Dorms open and all students can start moving in.
Resnet is NOT selling ethernet cards this year at all. They sold them during SOAR, but that is it. Any students inquiring about ethernet cards should get them at the TechStore or Digital Outpost or wherever they wish.....HOWEVER we need to inform people that ask that ONLY SMC, 3Com and some Asante cards are supported. PERIOD!
I know you might be able to get a cheap NetGear card at BestBuy....but you do- you are on your own. We (the HelpDesk) will attempt to help you out with any driver/software installs if we can, but we cannot send Resnet staff to the customer's room to help them out (as we can with SMC, 3Com and Asante cards).
Resnet calls tend to be VERY heavy these first few weeks.
