Information regarding Charter network issues

Here's what we should tell customers:

  1. Charter and Network Services knows there is a problem with the service.

  2. It's not clear what the source of the problem is - finding the cause of this problem and eliminating it is a high priority. There have been several attempts at fixing what was thought to be the cause, like ethernet settings on network ports, swapping of the server ethernet card, but these have failed to work.

  3. Charter is working diligently to solve this problem. DoIT Network Services staff is working with Charter to ensure network connectivity between Charter and the UW remains uncompromised and is not the source of the problem.
  4. We are not sure when this problem will be identified and corrected. All available resources from Charter and the UW have been focused to- ward this problem.
