ISIS, Student Center, Class Search, DARS, Faculty Center unavailable July 2 - July 6, 2010

The ISIS system, including the student center and faculty center, will be taken down for an upgrade at 5:00 PM on Friday, July 2nd. Service will be restored by 8:00 AM on July 6th. The changes made to the service following the upgrade are detailed below.

Affected Services

For the duration of the outage, users will be unable to access ISIS, including the student center, faculty center, public class search, Degree Audit Reporting System (DARS), transcript ordering (http://ordertranscript.wisc.edu/) and http://myinfo.wisc.edu. Thus, students will be unable to review grades, classes or degree information.

Post-Upgrade Changes

This upgrade will introduce a number of changes to the ISIS service. These changes are detailed below.

New Browser Requirements

After the upgrade, browser requirements for ISIS will become more stringent, requiring at least Internet Explorer 7, Firefox 3.5, or Safari 3.x or 4. For a detailed list of which browsers and platforms are supported for ISIS usage, please see [Link for document 1571 is unavailable at this time].

Changes to Bookmarks

Upon restoration of service, ISIS users may need to create a new bookmarks to access the service. To create a new bookmark for ISIS, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to http://isis.wisc.edu.
  2. Click "Log On To ISIS".
  3. Bookmark the current page.

Alternatively, users can also bookmark the following URL: https://portal.isis.wisc.edu:7022/user/signon.html.
