In November, the WiscWorld account database will be cleared of 48,186 accounts whose owners are no longer associated with the University. This may result in increased account related questions. Here is a brief description of this action with more detail appearing later on our web page.

On November 1st, the ineligible student accounts will have their dial-in and pop access turned off. On the 8th, the same will happen to the facstaff accounts. This action will allow messages sent to these accounts to be accepted but not available until the users contact the Help Desk. Agents can grant a grace period which will re-establish usability until November 21st.

The following breakdown is from the new WW accounts manager, Joe Tarter of EUC.
========
Of the 39,515 students marked for turn off there are 16,920 who either have the email access or the dial access flags set to YES.

Of the 8,671 facstaff marked for turn off there are 4,331 who either have the email access or the dial access flags set to YES.

The others are likely only "eligible,"
