Extended Walk-In Help Desk Hours

During SOAR, the Walk-In Help Desk will be opened for extended hours.

During SOAR, the Walk-In Help Desk will be open as follows:

  • June 10 through July 27: Walk-in is open till 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday
  • Saturday, June 29: Walk-in is open from 1:00 to 5:30 PM
  • Saturday, July 13: Walk-in is open from 1:00 to 5:30 PM
  • Saturday, July 27: Walk-in is open from 1:00 to 5:30 PM

  • August 26 through Sept. 6: Walk-in is open till 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday
  • Saturday, August 31: Walk-in is open from 10:00 to 4:00 PM

What is SOAR?

SOAR is a two-day program that introduces new students to the UW-Madison campus by giving them a preview of student life. Students receive orientation to the campus community and its expectations, are provided advising for the upcoming freshman year and register for their first-semester classes. More than five thousand first-year students, and five thousand parents and guests attend SOAR every summer.
