Streaming Media - Streaming Services Affected by Enterprise Storage Outage Window 11/12/2011 6:00am

DoIT Enterprise Storage will be having a planned outage that will affect some aspects of the Streaming Media Services.
Details about the Enterprise Storage outage are available at the following link http://outages.doit.wisc.edu/outage.aspx?chaid=21118&dte=11/12/2011. Flashstreamer, winstreamer and qtstreamer traffic will be diverted transparently to backup systems and will not be affected by the outage. Mediastreamer and Webstreamer traffic will be down as those services can not be similarly diverted to back up resources. Although the upload interface at streaming.doit.wisc.edu will be up, the file manager part will not have access to the storage drive. Therefore during the outage file manager users will see an error that their folders are not accessible and no file management will be possible.
