'Sales' shared LAN directory name change

The DoIT shared directory "sales" will be renamed "US" (user services) over the weekend of January 10-12. When leaving on Friday (01/10/03), users should close files and folders in the shared area. The files and folders should remain closed until Mon
The DoIT shared directory "sales" will be renamed "US" (user services) over the weekend of January 10-12. When leaving on Friday (01/10/03), users should close files and folders in the shared area. The files and folders should remain closed until Monday morning (01/13/03).
full old name: DOIT2_SHARED:/doit/sales Directory
full new name: DOIT2_SHARED:/doit/US
where US stands for "User Services"
Once the directory has been renamed, shortcuts and drives mapped to directories and sub-directories/folders using the old name "Sales" will not work. Staff will need to create shortcuts and drive mappings using the new name "US".
This name change only applies at the US level and will not affect other sub-directories and folder names.
