ARCH lab email activation issue 09-11-00

Students trying to activate their e-mail accounts at one of the ARCH Labs may not be able to do so.

Students trying to activate their e-mail accounts at one of the ARCH Labs may not be able to do so. What happens is that the student goes to the e-mail activation web site, fills in ID and birthdate, gets to the appropriate use guidelines, clicks OK, and is sent to a blank browser page. This is a known issue that MCT is working on and occurs only at the ARCH Labs. If the Help Desk gets calls from students trying to activate their account, they should be referred to another campus Lab. See the InfoLab home page for locations http://www.wisc.edu/infolabs/.
