"Rooms Online" goes active on Tuesday (03/04/03)

"Rooms Online" is a new web app by University Housing which allows (2,000) students to switch rooms. It will be available from 1 to 8 PM on March 4-6 and 10-12. Net ID/password will provide authentication. Housing staff will be providing assistance
On Tuesday, March 4 at 1 PM, 2,000 residents of the University Residence Halls will begin using a web application called "Rooms OnLine" to change their room assignments for next fall.
They will go in gradually (a few every 15 minutes) over a period of 6 sessions from 1 to 8 PM on:
- March 4 - 6 (Tuesday through Thursday)
- March 10 - 12 (Monday through Wednesday)
Authentication will be done using NetID/password. The login screen can be reached by using the "Rooms OnLine" link on the Housing web site at http://www.housing.wisc.edu.
Rooms OnLine is restricted to campus IP addresses, if someone tries to access Rooms OnLine using an off-campus IP address, they will not get to the logon screen.
Housing staff will operate a help desk function the entire time "Rooms OnLine" is up at 2-2522. If students have difficulty logging on to "Rooms Online" with their Net ID/password but can logon to the MyUW portal, they should be directed to 2-2522.
