Blackboard Collaborate: Intermittent Service Issue (12/19/12) - RESOLVED

RESOLVED: Blackboard Collaborate reports that they have identified the cause of the service disruptions and are working to update their infrastructure to prevent future reoccurrences.

Official message from Blackboard (received at 5:09pm):

Earlier today Blackboard Collaborate experienced intermittent network connectivity issues. The issues were experienced during the following time frames:

    • Approximately 11:00 – 11:37 (GMT-5 / US Eastern)
    • Approximately 13:00 – 13:41
    • Approximately 14:15 – 16:05

Users may have experienced the following issues:

    • Latency when accessing SAS, Web Conferencing or Elluminate Live! V10
    • Slowness when accessing services
    • Inability to connect to services

We have identified the cause of the service disruptions and are working to update our infrastructure to prevent future reoccurences.
