RESOLVED: Service was briefly disrupted for at least two L@UW campuses (UW-Madison and UW-La Crosse), and might have affected others, between 11:08am and 11:12am January 29. A scheduled network change had an unexpected impact on the UW-Madison and UW-La Crosse sites, which resulted in UW-Madison users being directed to the UW-LaCrosse site and UW-LaCrosse users being directed to the UW-Green Bay site. The condition was resolved by removing the affected server from production load.
We regret this service disruption and the team will engage a follow-up investigation to determine why the work was scheduled outside a maintenance window.
