While there is always the possibility that something could go wrong, if things go as expected there should be minimal disruption of Clarify service and no impact on CBS processes. The plan is for Todd Neidinger (POST) and Dave Ruhde (DRMT) to do a "failover" at 6 am, which should leave Clarify and CBS running on the companion ("pollux") machine.

At that time, they will then reboot castor to make sure the reboot doesn't affect Clarify and CBS on pollux. If that works ok, they will leave things on pollux until the following morning when they would fail it back to castor. (The period required for the actual OS upgrade on castor is uncertain but might take a few hours.)
