Some users experience issues submitting ePortfolio items to the Dropbox (all campuses except UW Milwaukee).

Current status: When submitting ePortfolio items to the Dropbox, the visual indicator should show that the process is progressing. If users see that the process slows dramatically, they should cancel the process and try again. A successful submission should take less than a minute or two to complete. We continue to work with the vendor to improve the process.

History: Users submitting ePortfolio items to the Dropbox may have found that the processing was extremely slow, and resulted in a 600-700 byte .d2lresource file in the Dropbox with no content in it. The problem was first reported on December 12.

Because of the urgency in restoring the ability to submit final ePortfolio assignments in dozens of courses, we implemented the solution recommended by the vendor, Desire2Learn (D2L). The work, which required a brief service interruption, was performed Wednesday, December 18, from 5:00 am to 5:30 am. During this period, users may have experienced slowness, unresponsive navigation, "Server not found" errors, or "TermNotFound" errors. We regret the inconvenience.

Unfortunately, the action taken did not mitigate the issues with submission of ePortfolio items to the Dropbox. We continued to work with Desire2Learn and implemented another solution, which has led to improved success with ePortfolio item submissions.
