UW-Madison Campus backbone outage between 0530-0630 on Thursday, Jan. 8th

There will be scheduled maintenance of the entire UW Backbone on Thursday, Jan. 8th, 0530-0630. All DoIT-managed networking gear (except the DoIT platform) will be affected.
There will be scheduled maintenance of the entire UW Backbone on Thursday, Jan. 8th, 0530-0630. During this time, network connectivity will be sporadic as various switches are rebooted for code upgrades. In areas of the network where redundant equipment is available, reboots will be staged to limit downtime (10 seconds while switches fail over).
All DoIT-managed networking gear (except the DoIT platform) will be affected including building access equipment. Servers on the DoIT platform should experience only a 10-second delay, as traffic fails over from one CSSC Core Switch to the other.
