Network Outage Affects Learn@UW, WebCT and Streaming Media (01/30/2004 0000-0600)

A series of brief, planned network outages on the morning of Friday, Jan. 30th (01/30/2004, midnight to 6am) will affect the Learn@UW, WebCT and Streaming Media services.
On the morning of Friday, January 30th from 12:01 to 6:00 a.m., DoIT Network Services will be rebooting various pieces of switching gear, affecting servers on the DoIT platform as well as the entire campus network backbone. This will result in sporadic short outages of approximately 5 minutes each throughout the window. This procedure will affect Learn@UW, WebCT, and Streaming Media services hosted at UW-Madison.
