TNSNames Updates for Accessing InfoAccess

Posted: 13:58:33, Monday, Aug 8, 2016   Expiration: 13:58:33, Monday, Aug 15, 2016

An update for accessing InfoAccess has been emailed to the Infoaccess users. The corresponding entries in the TNSNames file will need to be replaced before the enduser can connect.

The following error will be displayed when attempting to connect without a valid entry in the TNSNames file:

"Oracle error-1:ORA-12505: TNS:listener does not know of SID given in connect descriptor"

InfoAccess has been migrated to the Exadata environment. The production database for InfoAccess is known by two names, INFOACCESS and DWHP. Customers will need to update both entries in the TNSNames file so they can access the InfoAccess information.

The edit should be done with administrator level access. For more information, see EPM - Editing 'tnsnames.ora' and 'sqlnet.ora' Files

Please contact the DoIT Help Desk if you did not receive the email or need further assistance.
