Campus Network Outage on Sunday (09/12/04) from 2-8 AM

A campus network outage is scheduled during the regular maintenance window this Sunday (September 12) from 2:00 - 8:00AM. The campus network will be unavailable during that time.

Currently, some of the Catalsyt 6500 series nodes are running on the supervisor2 modules (main processor cards) and will be replaced with the supervisor720 modules to allow for 10 gigabit ethernet cards for future expansion to the core backbone network.

Some nodes will be isolated. There will be no impact to nodes on the platform. We will have possibly 5 more outages similar to this in the coming weeks. All will have no impact on the platform nodes.

During the scheduled maintenance window, there will be no network connectivity throughout campus.
