Learn@UW / D2L - Access Issues impacting Firefox and other specific browser versions - RESOLVED

RESOLVED (10:40 a.m. 2/28/18):  The issue was resolved when an infrastructure configuration change was made. Users should be able to access the service using the affected browsers.

Multiple DoIT services, including Learn@UW/D2L, are affected by a current issue preventing access with Firefox and some other specific browser versions. Affected users will see a message that reads, "Secure Connection Failed," or something similar.

Investigation is in progress - please check the UW System Outages site for current information. Suggested workarounds are to use an alternate browser not affected by the behavior, such as Chrome or IE.

We have received reports that additional browser versions other than Firefox may be affected, including:

  • IE: 11.2007.14393.0
  • Microsoft Edge 38.14393.1066.0

If you experience behavior impacting other browsers, please report the details including specific browser version to the Help Desk.
