Office 365 - Service Degradation: Issues with subscription activation and sign-in

We are currently experiencing an issue where users may be unable to sign into Office 365 - users may may also receive an error relating to subscription activation.
Microsoft is aware and confirmed this issue and is currently working on a solution. If you are experiencing this issue when using an Office desktop application (Outlook, Word, etc.), please try accessing your account via Outlook on the web.
8/16/2019: Microsoft indicates that sign-in impact is resolved, and users are no longer receiving subscription status errors. They will continue to monitor the service to ensure complete resolution..
