EMC storage outage: 5/15 6:00am-12:00pm

There will be an outage of the EMC storage system that will affect many services on campus including Clarify, CBS, and MyWebspace.
We will be upgrading the EMC internal code on the 4 Dayton St Clariions. For CX2, CX3, and CXATA1 this is a concurrent upgrade. Paths will be lost temporarily but the server should continue to have access to the storage.
Unfortunately we will have to take CX1 down for this upgrade. In the future CX1 code upgrades should also be concurrent but due to a bug in the existing code this one will not be.
Most servers attached to CX1 will be taken down for the duration of the upgrade. Those that can not be taken down will be switched to use their mirrored storage prior to the upgrade. Once switched they will be able to stay up through the upgrade and then will be switched back to their primary storage when convenient. Please contact the storage team if you wish to have your server switched to its mirrored storage.
