Webex Teams/Meetings - Logon & Eligibility
This document explains the process for logging into Webex Teams and Meetings.
Please Note:
Starting Monday (04/20/2020), all traditional students will have access to the Webex tools (Teams, Meeting).
-
Individuals who are not included in the faculty, staff or traditional students categories can
still access a Webex meeting if your professor (or another faculty/staff member) invite you to the meeting first. You will then receive an invite link that you will use to gain access to the meeting.
-
When signing in with your Wisconsin email address, you MUST use your primary email address - this usually takes the format NETID@wisc.edu or FIRST.LAST@wisc.edu.
If you are unsure of your primary address, please see: Office 365 - What is a primary address?
If you're prompted for a "Webex Site URL" or anything of the sort, enter "uwmadison.webex.com/uwmadison" (without the quotes).
Login Process for Webex Meetings and Teams

UW-Madison Primary Email Address
Webex accounts are created based on an enduser's Primary email address. The account owner can view their Primary email address at the Wisc Account Administration site as described in Office 365 - Change your Primary Address
If someone changes their Primary email address, they will need to wait till the next sync occurs (5 PM every night) before using that new email address to login.
