DARS - Access via Web Browser

Advisors can access DARS online. Follow the instructions below to run and view DARS Report.

Running and Viewing a DARS Report

  1. Go to https://dars.wisc.edu.

  2. Login using your NetID and password.

  3. Enter the student's Campus ID or EMPLID.

  4. The student's plan(s) should appear.

    • Find the plan and click 'Run degree audit' on the right-hand side under 'Quick request audit'.
    • To run a DARS report for all available plans, click 'Run all degree audits' under the student's name.
  5. To run a "What-If Audit," use the "Advanced Settings" section.

    • Select 'Choose a different plan' under 'Select a plan'. 
    • If desired, modify audit parameters (ie, catalog year, school/college, academic plan/program, honors, type of courses included).
    • Click 'Run Audit' and navigate to the View Requested Reports tab.

  6. Click 'View' under Interactive Report to open the degree audit.
  7. To download or email the audit, select the check box next to the student and the 'Download' or 'Email' option. If needed, you can select multiple audits at the same time. 
  8. On the View Requested Reports tab, you can see the Interactive Report, the Text Report, and the Course History of the student. 
  9. When done, click the menu bar in the upper-right corner, select 'Logout', and close your browser window.
