An overview and step-by-step guide to converting term course grades to the disruption SD/UD grading option (effective for Spring 2020 and Spring 2021).
Conversions table , Step-by-Step guide

Overview

SD (Satisfactory-Disruption) and UD (University Disruption-No Credit) grading is a special grading option for students in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

For more information about the SD/UD grading option and frequently asked questions, see Disruption Grading.

If you are uncertain about whether the SD/UD option is right for you, please reach out to your academic advisor.

Important notes:

  • The window to elect the Spring 2021 COVID-19 grading option began on May 8, 2021, and concluded on May 21, 2021, at 11:59 p.m.
  • The window to elect the Spring 2020 COVID-19 grading option was from May 9, 2020, to May 22, 2020, at 11:59 p.m.
  • Grades could only be converted after the course grades had been posted in the Student Center.
  • Final grades were posted in the Student Center, not in Canvas.
  • Courses not graded A-F could not be converted.
  • Law, MD and DPT students could not convert to SD/UD grades.
  • Carefully consider the choice to convert to SD/UD grades as students were not able to convert them back to letter grades on their own. During the May 8-May 21, 2021, window to elect SD/UD grades, students who mistakenly convert their grade to an SD/UD could complete this form to have the SD/UD grade reverted to the letter grade.
