Chair Wolf convened the meeting at 1:45 pm.

Rob Cramer, Interim Associate Vice Chancellor for Facilities Planning and Management, gave an update on repairs to Van Hise and Humanities. He also said he would check into the location of sharps containers within bathrooms. 

Karen Massetti-Moran, Director of Total Rewards, Office of Human Resources gave an update on single pay. There are more resources being made available including an updated paycheck calculator. In addition, UW-Madison will be providing employees with zero interest short-term loans for those who need assistance bridging the gap when paychecks become biweekly. Erica Halverson suggested letting employees know what their gross pay is currently since its been difficult to know with a pay raise and continuing furloughs this spring semester. 

The minutes of the meeting of University Committee Meeting Minutes 2021-05-10 were approved by consent.

 Rebecca Blank, Chancellor reported on Commencement and the Tribal Advisory Council meeting that included a visit from the US Secretary of the Interior and lots of good conversation. She also indicated that finalists for various searches are being identified including the Chief Diversity Officer and the Athletic Director. 

In regards to health protocols for summer, she will revisit current protocols once Dane County changes their health order. Locations on campus that are accessed by the public will also need to look at their operations are overall restrictions in Dane County are lifted. She also indicated travel restrictions will be revisited especially for domestic travel.
