MFA-Duo - Using Duo if You are Required to Use MFA at Multiple Institutions

This document will explain how to use Duo for MFA if you're required to do so at multiple institutions.

The Duo app for smartphone/tablet can be used for MFA with multiple institutions by simply following each institution's registration instructions. Instructions for setting up the Duo app on your smartphone/tablet for UW-Madison are linked below:

Using a token/fob for MFA at multiple institutions

You will need to obtain and register a separate token/fob specific to each institution for which you're required to use MFA. Tokens/fobs are provided to users by each separate institution.

How to get access to a Security Key or Duo Token/Fob 

Students

Students, to obtain a token/fob, please contact the DoIT Help Desk (608) 264-4357 or email help@doit.wisc.edu. Students with disabilities can also request a token or security key at the McBurney Disability Resource Center, 702 W. Johnson St., Suite #2104, Madison WI 53715 on the 2nd floor.

Faculty, Staff, and Researchers
