Microsoft 365 - Office 365 ProPlus (OPP) Project
Effective July 1, 2024, the Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus (OPP) add-on license will be removed from UW-Madison Microsoft 365 accounts that were assigned this license type. This change is in response to Microsoft discontinuing the OPP add-on license on October 31, 2024.

Total Affected Affiliates
Approximately 4,438 or 2% of all UW-Madison Microsoft 365 accounts will be affected.
- 1,652* UW-Madison Microsoft 365 accounts have activated an OPP add-on license.
- The license change may be most noticeable for this group.
- 2,786* UW-Madison Microsoft 365 accounts have not activated an OPP add-on license.
- The license change may have little to no impact for this group.
*This number is based on data captured in March 2024 and may be subject to change due to workflows that either begin or eliminate usage of the OPP add-on license.
Affected affiliate types:
- Zero-dollar appointments
- Consultants
- Volunteers
- Honorary fellows
- and any users who activated an Office 365 ProPlus (OPP) add-on license
