WiscWeb - WordPress UW Theme - Updating the Site Title, Tagline, and FavIcon

This document will walk you through updating your site title, tagline, and favicon. Please note that only Administrators on the site will be able to make these changes. Editors, Contributors, and Subscribers will not see this option.

You must be an Administrator on the site in order to update the Site Identity area of the Customizer.

  1. Click on Appearance.
  2. Click on Customize.
  3. Click on Site Identity.
  4. Enter a Site Title. This is the larger text that appears in red on your site.
  5. Enter a Tagline. This is the smaller text that appears beneath the Site Title.
  6. For Site Icon, choose an icon that you would like to appear in browser tabs. FavIcons should be either 16x16 pixels or 32x32 pixels in dimension. Do not use an image, as most site won't load it and it won't scale well.
