Adobe Creative Cloud - All applications in the desktop app are listed as trial versions
Check the account that you're logged into
- Follow the procedure for installing the Creative Cloud desktop app.
- If all applications are appearing as trial versions, you might accidentally be logged into a personal account instead of your UW account - they can have the same email address as your UW account. Please log out of the Creative Cloud desktop app (upper right corner -> Sign Out) and then follow the login directions.
- The most important point is to make sure you're selecting the orange Company or School Account option. If you get prompted for a NetID login, you're in the correct account.
- After completing the NetID login, the apps appearing in the Creative Cloud Desktop app should no longer be in trial status.
Students who need access for classes
If you're a student enrolled in a course your instructor has designated as requiring Creative Cloud or Acrobat appear as trials, please be sure you've visited the Adobe for Students page on the Campus Software Library (https://software.wisc.edu/cgi-bin/ssl/csl.cgi) and followed the instructions for activating your subscription.
Check your OOBE Files
This solution may also work but is more technically complicated to solve and one may need assistance with it. It's possible that the OPM.db file is corrupted. Here are the steps to fix that:
1. Sign out and close the Creative Cloud application (upper right hand corner -> Sign Out)
2. Navigate to the OOBE folder on your computer
- Windows: [System drive]:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE
- Mac OS: /Users/[user name]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE
NOTE: This folder may be hidden. To access hidden folders try Windows - Show hidden files, folders, filename extensions or Mac - Access hidden user library files
3. Delete the opm.db file.
4. Launch Creative Cloud and login using Adobe Creative Cloud - Logging in with Your UW-Madison Account
