Users were reporting issues with progressing through courses that are using SCORM packages for their content. Content that requires completion before the user can progress in the course could be delayed.

SCORM is commonly used within training or compliance courses, such as "U Got This!", within the UW-Madison instance of Canvas.

For users who are experiencing this delay in a course that has these requirements, it was recommended to wait up to 24 hours for the progress to be recorded. Although this is not expected behavior, the delay does resolve itself in most cases, and the course progress can be continued.

If progress does not continue, please try to disable your pop-up blocker temporarily while you are working on the course. You can find instructions here:

This issue with SCORM was reported to Instructure, the vendor for the Canvas LMS, and it has been escalated to their engineering team.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the DoIT Help Desk.
