Canvas - Invalid Client Error in LTI Tools - Updated (5/4/26)

Some LTI tools within Canvas were experiencing errors.
Update 5/4/26
As of Friday 5/1 around 2:00pm, the originally identified integrations were resolved and confirmed working. Since that time, Turnitin has been identified as having impact. There is a stand alone News Item for Turnitin

Original Outage Description
Users may be experiencing issues accessing LTI tools, such as Atomic Assessments, TidyUP, UDoIT, and DesignPLUS.
This issue has been reported to Instructure (Canvas vendor), and their technologists are currently working on correcting the problem.
Instructure has posted to their status page on this issue here. We will update this news item with more information when it's available.
Original Impact to Users
Some tools integrated in Canvas are giving the error message: {"error":"invalid_client","error_description":"unknown client"}

There are no known workarounds at this time.
