Cisco VoIP - Forward Calls on desktop phone telephone (7841/8851)

This document explains how to forward call on a Cisco desktop phone. Please watch the video or follow the steps outlined below.

You can forward calls from any line on your phone to another number. Call forward is phone-line specific.

If a call reaches you on a line where call forwarding is not enabled, the call rings as usual.

There are two ways of forwarding your calls:

  • Forward all calls
  • Forward calls in special situations, such as when the phone is busy or there is no answer. For these special situations, you will need to use the Self Care Portal. Please see Cisco VoIP - Call forwarding in self care portal

When a line is forwarded, you see the Forward all Forward All Icon icon with the line.

Procedure

Step 1 Select the line to be forwarded by pressing the button next to the line appearance.

Step 2 When the line to be forwarded is inactive, press the Fwd All softkey.

Step 3 Enter the call forward target number exactly as you would dial it from your phone, or select an entry from your list of recent calls.

To remove call forwarding, press Fwd Off softkey.
