Canvas - Email Notification Delays

Due to the rise in Canvas usage, Instructure has reported continued delays in their email notification service. This means the delay in receiving a Canvas notification through email can last up to a few hours during peak times.
In order to mitigate the delays and respond to the demand, Instructure has taken steps to increase the capacity for these services but expects the delays to continue through May while this capacity is added.
As an alternative, users can choose to use push notifications within the Canvas Student app or Canvas Teacher app. Guides are available for both versions of each app through Instructure's website.
