Turnitin - Similarity Report Generation Slowed (RESOLVED)

Turnitin is reporting that similarity report generation is currently slowed.

Update: 11/5 2pm CT

Turnitin is reporting that this issue with slowed similarity report generation has now been resolved! The Learn@UW-Madison team is continuing to monitor Turnitin's performance, so if you experience any challenges with the tool, please reach out to the DoIt Help Desk.

Turnitin is reporting that similarity report generation is currently slowed early this morning (11/5). Turnitin users may notice that similarity reports do not become available as quickly as normal, and users may have to wait longer than normal to view similarity reports for student submissions.

The notice regarding this service degradation is is reproduced below from turnitin.statuspage.io:

"Monitoring - Turnitin.com, Turnitinuk.com, iThenticate, SimCheck, Similarity and Originality, are currently experiencing an unexpected service degradation. We believe we have resolved the issue, and we are continuing to monitor the situation.

Users will still continue to experience slow report generation during this time, while we process the backlog of submissions.

Identified - We’ve run into some issues.

Turnitin.com, TurnitinUK.com, iThenticate, SimCheck, Similarity and Originality are currently experiencing an unexpected service disruption.

During this time, you may find that Similarity Reports are not generating.

Those accessing these services via an integration may also be impacted.

We invite you to track the progress of this disruption while we work to bring the service back to optimum health.
