Canvas - Impact From Planned SIS Upgrade (10/24)

UW-Madison will be performing an upgrade to the Student Information System (SIS) on Sunday, October 24th, and the system will be unavailable 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM (CT). Users, including students, will not be able to access SIS during this period, and systems that receive data from the sis, like Canvas, will be affected.
During this SIS upgrade window, access to Canvas will not be affected, but the following processes in Canvas will be suspended:
- Changes to course rosters in Canvas, such as adds and drops, will not occur during the upgrade window. This applies to both student and instructor enrollments.
- Changes to Canvas courses, such as course additions or deletions and section additions or deletions, will not occur during the upgrade window.
