Learn@UW has recently experienced some slowness and errors as usage has increased this last week of the semester.

The Learn@UW Utility group has described the problems as related to high end-of-semester usage (specifically in the Gradebook and Quiz tools) and an ongoing technical problem (see Learn@UW/D2L Service Issues for details and specific time of issues).

One recommendation for instructors is to do gradebook-intensive activities outside of normal business hours when overall use is highest. This will also lessen the impact on students attempting to take final quizzes this week.

The Utility group has been working with the software vendor and has applied hot fixes to improve Gradebook performance. However, errors cannot be entirely eliminated.

If you experience slowness or errors, wait a moment and try clicking again. If the problem continues, quit your browser and log back into Learn@UW. Please contact the DoIT Help Desk at 264-HELP if problems persist.

Thank you for your patience during this time. Everyone involved understands the impact these issues have on the teaching and learning process. Be assured that all are working hard towards a solution.
