Canvas and Pattern Service Issues

Today's wide-scale Internet issues are impacting portions of UW-Madison's Canvas and Pattern systems.
Today's wide-scale denial of service attacks on critical Internet services are causing issues with some tools used by UW-Madison students, faculty, and staff.
Known issues include:
- Canvas document rendering engine. Canvas is performing well except for the service that helps display PDF files or other documents. Users should try downloading the documents prior to opening.
- Pattern. This mobile and web app is now available. It was down on Friday, October 21, but is back online as of Saturday, October 22.
