Gradescope - Getting Started [UW-Madison]

Students

• If your course is using Gradescope, you will access Gradescope assignments through Canvas. 

• When you open your assignment, Gradescope will launch automatically. For more information on submitting assignments, see: Gradescope - Student - Submitting Assignments and Regrade Requests (UW-Madison)

Instructors

1. Navigate to canvas.wisc.edu, and log in with your NetID and password. You will access Gradescope via Canvas.

• Using Gradescope LTI 1.3 with Canvas as an Instructor

• When multiple people are grading an assignment at once, use the Next Ungraded button to lock the submission for that grader.

• Include language in your syllabus to indicate that you are using Gradescope.

• Consider using the Gradescope App to submit assignments

  • If you have images you would like to combine into a .pdf, you can combine them in the Gradescope App

• If you are submitting a .pdf, make sure it is less than 100mb

• You can only submit one .pdf per assignment to Gradescope
