Rental information for non-School of Music groups

School of Music facilities may occasionally be available for rental to non-School of Music persons. Such rentals should be musical in nature and otherwise be consistent with or support the School of Music's curricular mission.

Rentals to non-School of Music entities are generally limited to times when classes are not in session (i.e. between the Fall and Spring semesters and/or during Spring and Summer recesses).

External groups using School of Music facilities should be aware of the following policies:

• Hamel Music Center spaces are not available for rental by Registered Student Organizations (RSOs). 
• Any non-School of Music group will incur rental charges for using our space.
• Events with catering must use Campus Catering services.
• Events with ticketing are strongly encouraged to use Campus Arts Ticketing for their box office services.
• All non-University of Wisconsins renters must provide a Certificate of Insurance, subject to terms of the university Risk Management office and as outlined in the Facilities Use Agreement.
