HRS Access Guide - Overview
This document provides an overview of the HRS Access Guide - a series of KB documents providing guidance about HRS access for UW-Madison users, including requesting access, finding training, and fulfilling security requirements.
Welcome to the UW-Madison HRS Access Guide - a comprehensive guide for managing access to the UW Human Resources System (HRS). The following systems that incorporate HRS data are also covered in this guide:
- EPM - Enterprise Performance Management data warehouse
- UWBI - UW Business Intelligence (also sometimes referred to as OBIEE - Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition) analytics and reporting platform
Use the table below to help you find the information you need. The following roles will be referenced throughout the documents:
- User - the person who will be receiving the access
- Requester - person authorized to submit access requests on behalf of a division
- Approver - person authorized to review and approve access requests on behalf of a division
- OHR Data Custodian - employee in the OHR HRIS office authorized to make final decisions for access requests
