UW-Madison Google Apps - What types of accounts are eligible?
Eligibility for UW-Madison Google Apps can only be granted to WiscMail/WiscCal or Office 365 accounts. The following document outlines the types of WiscMail/WiscCal and Office 365 accounts that are eligible for UW-Madison Google Apps.
Eligible Account TypesThe following account types are eligible for UW-Madison Google Apps:
All @wisc.edu accounts that are eligible for email and calendar
An individual must be eligible for a NetID in order to qualify for an @wisc.edu account. For more information about NetID eligibility, please review this document.
For @wisc.edu accounts with alternate addresses, these addresses will also be alternate addresses for the UW-Madison Google Apps account.
Example: If Bucky Badger's email address were firstname.lastname@example.org, he might have email@example.com and firstname.lastname@example.org as alternate addresses
WiscMail Plus user or role-based accounts in domains that have Google Apps enabled.
WiscMail Plus alias accounts do not have accounts in UW-Madison Google Apps. However, if the alias account forwards to a WiscMail, WiscMail Plus, or Office 365 account, it will be added as an alternate address on that account in Google Apps.
To find out if your WiscMail Plus account can access Google Apps, follow these instructions.

Individual WiscMail Plus accounts cannot be enabled for Google Apps. Google Apps must be enabled for an entire domain.
If you want to be able to access Google Apps with a WiscMail Plus account, it must be linked to your NetID.

Office 365 service accounts in domains with Google Apps enabled
If you are a domain administrator and you want more information on how to enable Google Apps for your domain, please review the following document: Document 28140 is unavailable at this time.
Individual Office 365 service accounts cannot be enabled for Google Apps. Google Apps must be enabled for an entire domain.
There are two ways to access UW-Madison Google Apps with an Office 365 service account:

Ineligible Account Types
The following types of accounts are not eligible for UW-Madison Google Apps:
WiscMail Plus accounts in domains that don't have Google Apps enabled
Office 365 service accounts in domains that don't have Google Apps enabled
WiscMail Plus alias accounts that forward to an account outside of WiscMail / WiscMail Plus.
WiscMail Plus alias accounts that forward to a WiscMail, WiscMail Plus, or Office 365 account cannot log in to UW-Madison Google Apps, but will be added as an alternate address on the account that they forward to.
UW-Madison email accounts that are not hosted by WiscMail/WiscMail Plus or Office 365
