Connecting to UW HealthLink for SMPH Students
Remote connection to Healthlink
For Student devices enrolled in SMPH Workspace One
- Confirm that you are connected (via GlobalProtect) to the SMPH VPN portal: smph.vpn.wisc.edu

- Open an Incognito/Private internet browser window.
- Chrome - At the top right, click More and then select New Incognito Window.
- Firefox - Click the menu button (top right corner) and then select New Private Window
- Safari - Choose File > New Private Window
- Go to the following website: https://citrix.uwhealth.org
- Enter your UW Health credentials
- Allow prompt for UW Health Multi-factor Authentication
NOTE: Citrix can either run in the browser via the Citrix light version, or you may need to install the the Citrix Workspace app.
First time connection to Citrix often shows the following prompt allowing you to choose one or the other (browser plugin or app).
- To re-enable the above prompt, you need to clear the site data specific to the https://citrix.uwhealth.org website.
- Go to the Citrix login website https://citrix.uwhealth.org
- Next to the left side of the URL, click the "View site information" (dot dash looking symbol).
- Choose "Site settings" from the drop down menu.
- Click the "Delete data" button for the citrix.uwhealth.org page.
- On the "Delete site data?" page click the "Delete" button
- Then go back to, or reload to the login page https://citrix.uwhealth.org
