Department of Biochemistry researchers and staff have access to a variety of information technology and computing resources available to the Department of Biochemistry. The Biochemistry IT Group installs and maintains the department-specific and department-owned resources.
The IT Group also co-manages the 21st Century Network, VPN, Firewalls, Antivirus and Software Update Management with UW DoIT. During hours the Biochemistry IT Group isn't staffed, you can contact the DoIT Help Desk for UW provided services, hardware repair and support.

IT employees are typically available from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday. Our hours are somewhat flexible based on IT needs and student schedules.

Hi! My name is Conor and I have lived in Dane County for the majority of my life. I currently live in Monona with my wife, son, two daughters and two dogs. When we are not at our camper in the woods. I am responsible for operational strategy and execution of IT services and support in Biochemistry.

Hello! My name is Jeremy and I was born in Fresno, California but raised in Madison. I live with my wife, two dogs, and a soon-to-be-born rascal. I have been in IT for close to 13 years working with industry vendors, and small, medium, and enterprise businesses. After graduating from UW-Madison with a BA in English Literature, I worked for CDW moving my way around as an Enterprise Incident Manager, Operations engineer, and UNIX engineer, and finally arriving at Biochemistry as a Systems Administrator.
I enjoy playing video games with my wife on occasion, playing with my dogs, and maintaining the server hardware in my basement.

My name is Peyton, and I'm from Madison, WI! I graduated from UW-Madison with a B.S. in Computer Science and Psychology in December 2022, after which I quickly launched my career with the Biochemistry IT department. Before Biochem, I worked at the DoIT Help Desk from 2018 to 2022, and I'm excited to bring my experience with tech support and customer service to the department.
In my free time, I enjoy playing video games, going to the gym, and hanging out with my four cats!

Hi everyone, my name is Max, and I'm from Fairfax, Virginia (near Washington, DC). I'm a third-year Computer Science major, and I joined Biochem IT in November of 2021. I love biking, watching and playing ice hockey, playing video games, exploring campus, meeting new people, and hanging out with friends.
Working as a part of Biochem IT has been a fantastic experience for me, and I have no doubt that it'll be a great experience for you all too. I've been able to learn a lot about what matters most in a customer service role, and plenty about what's needed for a reliable IT infrastructure in an educational or enterprise setting.

My name is Tanya. I was born in India, and moved to Dubai when I was 2 years old. I am a sophomore majoring in computer science. I also love math, so I am looking to do a certificate. Working out and watching classic movies are my favorite things to do. In Madison, my friends and I are on a mission of trying out all the restaurants across state street. So, if you want to critically analyze Gone with the Wind at The Globe, I am your girl. I am hoping to increase my technical problem-solving skills. I would also like to hone my people skills by working with like-minded people like the team at BioChem.

When I'm not immersed in coding and circuits, you'll likely find me on the badminton or tennis courts.
