ECMS - How to Open a Large View in the Percepetive Content Management Console

This document explains how to increase the client timeout for opening a view that times out when it is opened in the Perceptive Content Management Console.

  1. Close the Perceptive Content Client and the Percpetive Content Management Console

  2. Browse to "C:\Program Files (x86)\ImageNow\etc"

  3. (May require Administrator access) Create file "inmc.ini"

  4. (May require Administrator access) Open the file  and add the following text:

    [Remote]
    heartbeat.interval=60
    socket.login.timeout=600
    socket.default.timeout=600

  5. (May require Administrator access) Save the file

  6. Open the Perceptive Content Management console and open the view. Wait and be patient for the hourglass to resolve into the the view configuration.
