How to update a scanner license for ImageNow
IF you have been contacted by the Imaging Team to update a license for one of your departmental scanning workstations
OR if you receive an error message on your scanning workstation that reads as follows "The token for 'CaptureNow - ISIS Level 1' is invalid and has been released. The licenses will be checked to see if another token is available."
THEN please perform the following steps:
- Exit the ImageNow Client (Connect > Disconnect).
- On the client computer, locate the file named intkinfo.dat file in the path [drive]:\ProgramData\ImageNow\etc (in Windows XP, this path is [drive]:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\ImageNow\etc).
- Rename the file to intkinfo.old.
- Open the ImageNow Client.
- In the Capture menu select a capture profile that uses your scanner.
- Scan a test document.
- You will receive two new prompts:
- First prompt will tell you that you do not have a token. Click OK.
- Second Prompt will ask you if you want to check for an available token. Click Yes.
- You will receive a token acquisition confirmation message. Click OK.
- Exit the ImageNow Client (Connect > Disconnect).
- Log into ImageNow with an account that has scanning privileges.
- Attempt to scan a document.
- If you are not prompted for any token issues you should be configured and ready for use. If not please contact us at imaging-support@doit.wisc.edu and we will assist you on further trouble shooting.
