Wisconsin Sloan Center for Systemic Change (WiSC2)

The Wisconsin Sloan Center for Systemic Change, or WiSC2, will be a hub for innovating and leading transformative work for excellence in graduate education at UW.

Supported by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, the aim of Systemic Change Centers is to remove entrenched barriers to student success, improve student outcomes, and create educational environments that are more equitable and effective for all.

Driver Diagrams

The following series of three graphics ("Driver diagrams") represent root causes that influence graduate student retention. During this exercise the team identifies factors that increase retention and student satisfaction. These diagrams link key challenges to multiple solution and improvement opportunities.
