Building Automation Network (BAN) - Connecting to the BAN VPN

This document covers authentication and connection to the BAN VPN, which is required for the Andover WebClient.

The BAN is an isolated network. While connected, you will ONLY be able to access the Andover web client. You will not be able to perform other network activity (send/recieve emails, browse the internet, etc.)

Connecting to the VPN

A VPN client is required. If you do not have a VPN client installed, see WiscVPN GlobalProtect (All OS) - Installing, Connecting, and Uninstalling.

Note: Hospital employees should use the Cisco AnyConnect VPN client.

  1. Launch your VPN client (GlobalProtect, AnyConnect)
  2. Connect to the BAN VPN

    GlobalProtect portal addressGlobalProtect Username and Password

    • Portal: ban.vpn.wisc.edu 
      • Note: If using Anyconnect, use banvpn.net.wisc.edu
    • Username: NetID
    • Password: NetID password
